The original Nectaris/Military Madness game that was released in 1989 by Hudson Soft of Japan. This game was a breakthru in the gameplay area. Many people fell in love by its perfectly created strategy/battle engine, and has brought many cult followings afterwards. The game uses a standard 6-sided hexegon for each units. They consists of ground and air units. It is too much to explain why this game is so great, you'll just have to play it for yourself...if you haven't yet already that is. :D |

This is Neo Nectaris for the PC-Engine CD-Rom which was released after the success of the original Hu-Card version. It has updated graphics, CD quality music, and anime cut scenes with voice overs. The battle animations has also been changed to a 3/4 view instead. This game includes 48 new levels plus the original game. You can find a copy of this game on eBay once in a while, so keep your eyes open if you are looking for a copy. |

This is a rare find for most of the people outside of Europe. Nectaris by Sunflower for PC/DOS was released in 1995. I would guess this project resulted from the amazing cult following of the original game that formed after it was released. This game uses the mouse for comfortable control, and it includes an amazing set of 98 levels within 3 different planets. The first planet is basically a remake of the original, and the other 2 planets are completly new levels with NEW units!! The difficulity of the new levels are pretty steep, so if you are up for a challenge, you must check this one out. |

This is the GameBoy version of Nectaris that came out in 1998. The sound and graphics of the game are obviously toned down due to the limits of the GameBoy(black & white). The originally detailed maps have been changed to blocks of tiles, and the battle animations is drastically toned down also. But the gameplay is ALL there, and it includes new levels along with the award-winning maps from a contest that was held in Japan. This game also include a level editor in which you can create your own maps and trade them with your fellow GameBoy buddies!! ;D This is a must have for all you Nectaris fanatics out there. |

The PSX release of this amazing game. This game has completely new levels especially made for this version, but if you complete the game once, you get to unlock the original maps, which are ALWAYS the best. This game include many new modes and maps including award-winning ones. This also has a level editor for many maps that are included. But the most outstanding part of this version would be the battle animations. Hudson Soft of Japan has completely remade them into 3D!! My goodness are they gorgeous, you must see it to believe!! So go to your local store or get on eBay and grab yourself a copy of this amazing addition of Nectaris!! |

This is a re-release of the original game from 1989 by Hudson Soft for the PC/Win9X. This is a FREEWARE, so download yourself a copy now!! :D Everything is pratically the same except for the new levels and the editable editor maps which are included along with a map editor. This game also utilizes the mouse for control just like the other PC version above. I have made some of my own maps for this version, and you can download them in the LEVELS section. I have recieved info from inside sources that there is currently a new Nectaris game being developed for the GameBoy Advance!!...unfortunately, this is about all I know...but I will keep you guys updated as soon as I find out more information. Until then, be patient!! :) Update: As you probably figured, this project was scraped and never saw the light of day. :( |
